Arnaud teaches oyster-eating FRH070910

If you have not eaten oysters in Cancale with Arnaud you missed one of the greatest highlights of FRH.

 

He shows us two kinds - the 'deep-bodied' oyster cultivated right before our eyes on the tidal flats of Cancale, and the 'flat' oyster that is wild and harvested in deeper waters offshore.

 

In these photos he demonstrates opening, cutting away from the shell, applying lemon, and finally eating the oyster.

 

Lastly, some of the ladies on our tour enjoy this new pastime.

 

Surely one of the most memorable highlights of our visit to France!
