Dear Arnaud,
I want to thank you for your kindness during our tour--expecially for your help in locating my lost sketchbook and forgotten I-pod. And also for your help in getting us to the train station for our trip to Languedoc at the end of our tour.
We are finally home after spending another week in the Languedoc area. We learned about the first Crusade by Innocent III (Not so innocent) against the Cathars at Minerve. We travelled to Ceret to the Modern Art Museum and Colliure. We visited a rebuilt working moulin at Domaine Benazeth (they have a fascinating tour) and a papermaking plant that's been in business since the 1700's. And then we spent some time on the Canal and at Carcassonne. Languedoc has so many things to see and to do. The wine is good too: many bottles of rose later.....
We are very tired--we slept for 12 hours when we got home, then napped for 3 more the next day. At least it's cool here on the beach. It's so good to be home!
Thanks for an excellent tour. I finally bought a Geneology of French Kings book so I can now unscramble the eggs in my head.
